the 5-part episodic game Life is Strange is set to get a live action TV show according to the Life is Strange blog. Not many details right now, as it was announced just today, that is the 27th of July but we do know that Legendary Entertainment is going to be the ones making it. This is a big move for Dontnot, who released the award winning series in 2015 to much applause. The game centers around Max Caulfield, a 12th grade student at a private academy who re-connects with an old childhood friend, after discovering she has the ability to manipulate time, going backwards and forwards in time to solve some of the mysteries that have started to pop up at almost the exact same time she developed her power.
Now in the press release, it was implied that characters we know from the game will appear but to what end and role we don't know. The only other game I can think of that tried something like this was the Defiance MMO, which ran on the slogan of play the game, watch the show and that the Life is Strange show will feature a 'new version of Arcadia Bay and Blackwell Academy.' The series will also feature a season 2, and if you haven't already started the series then you most definitely should I highly recommend it both for its good writing and interesting gameplay. And unfortunately, that's all the news I could find on it. Episode One is free on all platforms and for you PC players out there here's a Steam link to it.
